OUR STORY
Yohana and Ivan's lives began to intertwine years ago, thanks to a lovely and unexpected connection between their mothers. For several years, Janeth, Iván's mom, was the trusted stylist for Doris, Yohana's mom. It was during one of those salon visits, when Yohana was a teenager, that Janeth mentioned that both had attended the same school, and she also told Iván about Yohana. Despite having shared those spaces, their paths, curiously, didn't truly cross until much later.
Their shared passion for Colombian culture and the experience of having immigrated to the United States as children united them even more. When Iván proposed to Yohana just outside Santa Marta, it was a beautiful and meaningful moment. Now, they are very excited to celebrate their marriage with all of you in this city that means so much to them.
Years later, Yohana and Iván happened to be at the salon at the same time, and he asked her out. However, a small hiccup prevented those initial plans from coming to fruition.
Despite that first attempt, their connection persisted. They stayed in touch through social media, sharing aspects of their lives and maintaining casual communication. Eventually, a simple Facebook message reignited their interest and led to their first date. Despite the distance that separated them, their relationship began to solidify.
